With the advent of the AOL Time Warner merger came the buzz that the new conglomerate would close or sell its 130 Warner Bros. stores. Both Warner Bros. and its licensees have been reluctant to comment on the possible effects of this decision, either on product availability or licensing. One west coast store manager did say however, that original plans included putting the studio stores on the market for a trial period of 30 days if no one bites, the stores will then bite the dust. A spokesperson from Warner Bros. said that the company expects to reach a decision sometime in March.
