CYPRESS, Calif. Nothing says 'product differentiation' than a line of action figures based on classic (but relatively obscure) Japanese properties. Bandai StudioWorks Collection will offer three 7-inch figures from one of Japan's top-rated series,
Kikaida. Launched in 1998, Kikaida is a mechanical man designed to take down an evil army of androids. The franchise has generated a modest $30 million in retail sales overseas. The figures are finely detailed and include a host of accoutrements (such as Bijinda's hydrogen bomb).
