There weren't many robots at this year's Toy Fair, so it's worth noting Fisher-Price's Kasey the Kinderbot (pictured below), an educational buddy designed to prep kids for school. Kasey focuses on such skills as good manners, friendship and taking turns. Separate software cartridges cover math, reading and science…For a point of purchase item that attracts the older set, Barbara Fineblum, owner of Barton's Child's Play in Baltimore, Md., notes bracelets from MPGwear.com are a quick mover. "I (even) have adults who'll buy them," she adds…Many parents shy away from giving certain groups of kids building toys thinking they're not appropriate because of gender or age, says Brio President Peter Reynolds. "We need to listen to what our children direct us to."…Games Workshop's Battle Wagon (a decorated van that supports the company's events at independent retailers) has been found. Stolen in early July, police recovered the stripped vehicle two weeks later. GW hopes to have it back on the road shortly.
