Since it's getting a little brisk outside here are some titles that allow kids to stretch their creative muscles inside. The Kids' Building Workshop, Story Publishing, North Adams, Mass., has 15 woodworking projects for parents and kids to build together. This book has ideas for all skill levels and even starts off with teaching how to use certain tools. The projects can be done easily and don't really require customers to have any unusual tools. This can be a great way for parents to bond with their children while doing something educational.
Colour it!, Frances Lincoln, London, contains black and white images from modern painters. This collection exposes children to the world of modern art by allowing them to color in the black and white images. Every child likes to color and this may lead them to self expression of their own.
Most kids love bugs. Ralph Masiello's Bug Drawing Book, Charlesbridge, Watertown, Mass., shows kids how to draw some of their favorite bugs. It has simple easy to follow directions and can be hours of fun for parents, too, as they try to draw with their children.
