Archie Comics Entertainment, Mamaroneck, N.Y., signed licensing agency Brand Central to build the Josie & the Pussy Cats brand for consumer products. It is the latest addition to Brand Central's roster of entertainment and vintage properties that include Miramax Films, The Apprentice, Napster, Kellogg's, E! Entertainment and Archie Comics' Betty and Veronica.
Majesco Entertainment, Edison, N.J., inked an agreement with DreamWorks SKG to publish Game Boy Advance Video versions of the studio's successful animated movies Shrek, Shrek 2, Shark Tale.
Little Nutbrown Hare and Big Nutbrown Hare, from the children's book Guess How Much I Love You, will appear on Books to Bed sleepwear, a division of Basically Kids, New York. Basically Kids, known for manufacturing private label children's sportswear and sleepwear, signed an agreement with RJM Licensing and Candlewick Press for the rights to include characters from Guess How Much I Love You
Hasbro, Pawtucket, R.I., secured the exclusive rights from Bob's Space Racers to create and market games based on Whac-A-Mole. The games will be marketed under its Milton Bradley brand.
