New Drew game for PC

By Staff -- Playthings, 9/1/2005

Nancy Drew is still solving mysteries, even 75 years after she first hit the crime scene in 1930. In Nancy Drew: Secret of the Old Clock for the PC from HER Interactive, Seattle, mystery makes the game.

The game opens with Drew driving her blue roadster to the Lilac Inn, which Emily Crandall recently inherited from her deceased mother. Under new operation, the inn is suffering financially—Drew wants to get to the bottom of it all. Junior and senior detective mode settings are featured.

Megan Gaiser, president, HER, says that Nancy, called the “unbarbie of computer games” by The New York Times, makes women think.

With an “E” rating, the game is player-friendly for everyone. “Women are the fastest growing segment in the game industry,” says Gaiser. “In the past, hard-core gamers were primarily male. We're the first company to attract mass consumers.”
