Malls are becoming more kid-friendly lately. This fall Warner Brothers Consumer Products, Burbank, Calif., officially launches Looney Tunes play areas within Taubman malls around the country. The first Playscape is set to debut at the Northlake Mall in Charlotte, N.C. The indoor, Looney Tunes-inspired play areas are 2,000 square feet and feature 3-D versions of Looney Tunes characters…
Wild Planet, San Francisco, Calif., is the master toy licensee for the DreamWorks animated comedy Over the Hedge, scheduled for release in May 2006. The new line of product will include plush, role-play and figures. In the past, Wild Planet has worked with DreamWorks on Shrek2 (2004) and Madagascar (2005)…
And speaking of licensing, some big changes are taking place for Evergreen Concepts. Global Icons, Los Angeles, acquired Los Angeles-based licensing agency Evergreen Concepts. As part of the acquisition, Global Icons will inherit Evergreen Concepts' client brand portfolio which includes: Build-A-Bear Workshop, Brainy Baby, Lavaggi and Pretty Tough, a new lifestyle brand developed for female athletes of all ages...
