Friedman to lead top brands

Fisher-Price President Neil Friedman was named president of Mattel’s newly consolidated global brands division. He succeeds Matthew Bosquette, former president of Mattel Brands, who leaves after 17 years.

Site for New itc is tapped

100 Church St., one block north of Ground Zero in New York City, will be the new location of the International Toy Center. The consensus came after consideration of the 345 Hudson St. and 25 Broadway locations.

Some price contraction seen

According to a recent study conducted by St. Louis-based A.G. Edwards & Sons, the toy industry saw price contraction at Wal-Mart and Target while Toys “R” Us kept prices steady.
