Warner Brothers awarded Bandai America, Cypress, Calif., the master toy license for the U.S. and Canada for the series Firehouse Tales. The line debuts spring 2006 and will be composed of several vehicles, play sets, construction, and bath toys.
Cookie Jar Entertainment, Los Angeles, named Mattel the master toy licensee for The Doodlebops, Cookie Jar's live action kids series that airs on the Playhouse Disney's preschool block in the U.S. and CBC in Canada. The license grants Mattel rights for toys, dolls, feature plush, figures, play sets, games and puzzles for the property.
BBC Worldwide awarded the master license for Little Robots to Playmates Toys, Costa Mesa, Calif. The license allows Playmates to develop products such as electronic figures, plush and dolls, play sets, preschool toys and games.
Michael Peikoff is the new vice president of licensing at 20th Century Fox Television, Hollywood, Calif. In the position, Peikoff will oversee the company's U.S. licensing business with the specific oversight of the category management team, its list of domestic licensees and retail inititatives.
Brighter Child Interactive, Columbus, Ohio, entered a worldwide agreement (excluding Japan and Germany) with European animation producer Marathon to create and distribute products based on Marathon's Totally Spies television.
