By Staff -- Playthings, 12/12/2005 9:39:00 AM

HONG KONG—Grand Toys International will vote on the acquisition of Hua Yang Holdings and Kord Holdings Thursday, December 22. A proxy statement containing detailed information about the proposed acquisition and soliciting voting instructions in favor of the transaction has been sent to shareholders.

If the acquisition and related matters are approved at the meeting, the transaction is expected to close on Friday December 23, 2005.

Hua Yang provides specialty printing of children’s books and games, and produces toy and gift marketing-related specialty printing and packaging. Its main activities are designing and producing a range of paper-based novelty items such as pop-up books, touch-and-feel books and board books.
