Something to talk about

If women were in charge of the world's countries instead of men, would there be fewer wars? Should people have the right to sue other people for any reason they want? These and other sensitive and not-so-sensitive subjects are part of Controversy, a new board game from NY Game Factory, New York. The game challenges participants to figure out what the other players think about key issues. Also from NY Game Factory is In Other Words, a game of word play where each team tries to guess the answer to the clues on the cards. For example: “Muppet drummer, Saltines”…The answer is animal crackers.
Word playIn Loaded Questions, All Things Equal, Santa Monica, Calif., players get to know one another better or find out things they never knew about friends, family, etc. Questions such as “What celebrity never seems to fade away?” and “What do you not eat enough of?” will get players talking and guessing. Eric Poses, president, All Things Equal, continues to focus on promoting the game with game demonstrations in more than 200 specialty stores throughout the country, even after success in larger retailers like Target and Borders. “Specialty stores help the units move and are the backbone for any growing business,” he says.
