A softer touch

Godzilla, Image Comic's Death Jr., Corpse Bride and others have already been made into action figures, but now each brand has a softer side. From Fullmetal Alchemist plush pillows to Emily the Strange Patchwork Kitty dolls, odds are that most characters worthy of becoming action figures will likely become available in plush as well.
This year, Toy Vault, Corbin, Ky., will release 20 plush versions of the H.P. Lovecraft creature, Cthulhu. The multi-tendril monster will also come in a bust, a statue and a plastic figure.
Diamond Select, Timodium, Md., adds Angel plush dolls, based on the Joss Whedon television series, and Battle-Damaged Puppet plush with slash marks and a trademark removable nose! Limited to 5,000 pieces, each features a hand-numbered window-box package.
McFarlane Toys, Tempe, Ariz, has just released a plush line based on characters from Tim Burton's Corpse Bride. This spring, Wallace and Grommit characters, which were just released as action figures from McFarlane, will also make their plush toy debut.
