NEW YORK—FIFA World Cup, WWE, Tour de France and more will all be represented at this year’s Licensing 2006 International trade show, according to its organizers.

Licensing 2006 has partnered with the National Sports Marketing Network (NSMN) as an outreach to the sports community to attend this year’s convention as well as to help develop the first-ever Sports Licensing Summit, produced by NSMN. The summit will take place on June 20 and will feature discussion on trends and best practices among the top sports licensing decision-makers.

The advisory board for this event includes licensing and marketing executives from the National Basketball Association, National Football League, PGA Tour, World Series of Poker, Players Inc., Nascar, Steiner Sports Marketing, New Era, National Hockey League and IMG Licensing. Additional panel discussions and case studies include: Olympic-sized licensing: Will Beijing 2008 set new records?;  New technologies forum; Licensing athletes in the 21st Century; and Winning Teams, Winning Deals?: How capturing a championship affects your licensing deals.

In addition to the sports seminars, new brands will be represented for the first time, such as British soccer team Manchester United. The 500 Home Run Club, AC Milan, FIFA World Cup, Little League Baseball, Nascar, Professional Bull Riders Association, WWE, Tour de France and more will also be represented at the show.

Licensing 2006 International (a.k.a., "The Licensing Show") will take place June 20-22 at New York’s Jacob K. Javits Convention Center.
