Dimensional Branding Group, San Francisco, and Santa Barbara, Calif.-based Foothill Entertainment will premiere the classic Hal Seeger-created series Batfink on Cartoon Network's Boomerang this September. Long an underground favorite with twentysomethings, the animated series features sidekick Karate and villain Hugo A Go Go...TV Guide has renewed its licensing agreements with both Wiggles 3-D for its Don't Quote Me board game (which for 2006 adds playing cards to the game and debuts a travel edition), and with Excalibur Electronics for hand-held electronic games TV Guide QuizMaster (a TV and movie trivia game), TV Guide Electronic Crosswords (more than 400 crossword puzzles that don't require pencil or paper) and TV Guide Movie Master (which locates information on favorite movie actors, directors, and hundreds of movie reviews)…Amity Entertainment's relaunched The Big Comfy Couch series is the focus a merchandising and licensing deal between Amity and Toy Island Merchandising with the assistance of Quattro Consumer Products. New gift sets from the series will be available to retail outlets at various roll-out dates leading up to Christmas 2006, and will be supported by a live tour, mall appearances and a Weekly Reader promotional initiative especially for kindergarten children. Genius Products, distributor of home entertainment products, will become the exclusive DVD distributor of the series in the U.S.
