A first game

The Giggles Computer Funtime Shapes from Leveractive, Webster, N.Y., is computer software for ages 6 to 24 months. The software features 14 keyboard taping activities and games that give baby a response on screen. The Mac and Windows compatible, 2-CD set also includes more than 50 songs in five categories, including My First Classical, Jazzy Baby, Baby Funtime, Baby Boogie, and Lullaby Baby. Upcoming titles in the line include Funny Faces, Farm Animal Friends and Around My House, available this fall.
“It teaches babies very important cause-and-effect lessons initially–both in hitting the keys and in moving the mouse around the screen with our special built-in mouse training features,” Leveractive president Tim Leverett says. “Working with the parent as they move forward, they begin to learn colors, shapes, animals, and other general concepts important for development during these age ranges.”
Leverett adds that the company is working to get the product into retail across the U.S., Canada and the rest of the world.
