In more movie news…Universal Studios Consumer Products, Universal City, Calif., has given licensing rights to several companies for multiple films. Schwendsville, Pa.-based Quantum Mechanix has the rights to create vehicle and pistol replicas, patches, plaques, dog tags and other collectibles based on Battlestar Galactica and Serenity. Motorsports Authentics, Tempe, Ariz., will offer die-cast replica vehicles based on The Fast and the Furious. Jurassic Park battery-operated and remote-controlled dinosaurs and vehicles will be out from San Diego, Calif.-based Jasman Toys…Meanwhile, Fox, Hollywood, Calif., has also handed Funko, Bothell, Wash., rights to produce Bobble heads around the TV series My Name is Earl and given Hasbro/Tiger Electronics the green light for toothbrushes based on Napoleon Dynamite...New Line Cinema, Los Angeles, has authorized new horror and rock items, including a Friday the 13th children's costume from Rubies, New York, and a Tenacious D lunch box set for release in mid-October.
