Corgi acquires Cards Inc., merges with Master Replicas

HONG KONG— Corgi International Limited has entered into an agreement to acquire shares of Cards Inc. Limited as well as for a stock-for-stock merger with Master Replicas, two companies based around licensed collectibles.

The Master Replicas deal is expected to close during the fourth quarter. The company will retain the Corgi name and will continue to produce a wide variety of products as well as develop collectibles for  film franchises such as Batman, James Bond, Disney Classics, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Trek, Star Wars and Spider-Man.

Watford, England-based Cards Inc., specializes in licensed collectibles, gifts and toys. Master Replicas, Walnut Creek, Calif., develops and markets movie replicas and high-end pop culture collectibles.
