The soft sell

By Karyn M. Peterson -- Playthings, 11/1/2006

A child's first doll is more than a plaything; it's a constant source of security, a wellspring of inspiration for imaginative play and a vital means to learning self-expression and emotional interaction. Who needs an imaginary friend with cuddly companions like these to choose from?
