Already a hit in Canada, NCircle Entertainment's Mighty Machines DVDs feature “friendly and informative characters” and 90 minutes of live footage of awe-inspiring construction vehicles, rescue gear and similarly boy-friendly equipment and technology. The first two releases in the series are Diggers & Dozers and Lights & Ladders. A third title is due out this month, Roadways to Runways. All will be available at major mass market and specialty channels, including online retailers, national and regional supermarkets and drugstore chains, and select catalogs and non-traditional outlets, like hardware stores. NCircle Entertainment (a division of Alliance Entertainment), Bonita Springs, Fla.
Award-winning children's recording artist Roger Day returns to the record racks this month with his third studio release, Dream Big! The CD encourages kids to “sing loud, jump high, and dream big,” across 13 tracks filled with Day's trademark wit, whimsy and wordplay. Special guests on Dream Big! include The Crickets (yes, those Crickets, Buddy Holly's original band) and XMKiDS star Billy Jonas, playing his entire repertoire of “industrial repercussion” instruments. Musically, the album covers territory from stylized '60s sounds and Beatlesque strings to Bo Diddley beats, rap tunes, Motown horns, African drums and even the first known recording of a sump-pump hose on songs with an underlying theme of inspiring kids to
follow their dreams and make a positive impact on the world using “body, brain and muscle.”
