EA Sports gains prez

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.—Peter Moore, formerly of Microsoft Corp., has been appointed president of video game maker Electronic Arts’ EA Sports unit.

"Peter Moore’s proven record of leadership in games and sports makes him a terrific fit for heading up EA Sports,” said EA CEO John Riccitiello. In his over 20 years of experience and leadership in consumer business, Moore has worked with Xbox, Games for Windows, SEGA and Reebok International. At Microsoft, Moor served as corporate vice president of the company’s interactive entertainment business.
