NEW YORK—United Media has apointed Neal Gordon to senior vice president, international licensing, where he will oversee the company's portfolio of brands, including Fancy Nancy, Dirty Dancing, Peanuts, Raggedy Ann & Andy and Tamagotchi.
In his new position, Gordon will report directly to Doug Stern, president and CEO. Rita Rubin, who is retiring after serving in the position for more than 13 years, will remain at the company through the remainder of the year during Gordon's transition into his new role.
"I'm confident that Neal's experience will continue to provide our international business with the leadership and strategic foresight that Rita Rubin has adeptly provided in her tenure here at United Media," Stern said. "We're very pleased to have him on board."
Gordon joins United Media from Judith Ripka, a high-end jewely brand, where he was vice president of global licensing. Previously, he served as vice president of marketing and sales for Tommy Hilfiger Licensing in the Asia Pacific region, and the general manager of Chanel K.K. in Tokyo.
