Product highlights from this year's Toy Fair

As you could probably imagine, seeing everything that the approximately 1,200 exhibiting companies at the American International Toy Fair have up their sleeves for the coming year is a nearly impossible task. Against that backdrop, we here at Playthings try our best to see as much as we can, despite the fact that we'll never actually see everything we want to no matter how hard we try. But, as always, we do manage to see an awful lot of toys in the course of four all-too-short days, and, as usual, an impressive number of those toys were in some way memorable. On the the pages that follow, we highlight a cross-section of those products with a goal of offering a more-subjective-than-usual look (at least for us) at what is heading to toy store shelves in time for the retailing year's various milestones—summer movie premeries, back-to-school sales and fall television debuts, and, of course, the all-important holiday shopping season.
