Brilliant Sky expands franchise to Carolinas

NEW YORK—Specialty toy franchisor TT&B, Inc. announced that it has finalized an agreement to develop its Brilliant Sky Toys & Books specialty retail brand in North and South Carolina.
The agreement calls for the immediate development of one Brilliant Sky store in Charlotte, N.C., and a commitment to develop six additional stores within the Carolinas in the next five years.
"This development schedule will establish us as the industry leader in a very vital part of the country," Brent Taylor, president and CEO of the East Lansing, Mich.-based TT&B, says. "The Carolinas offer an outstanding opportunity for Brilliant Sky. The critical factor is that we’ve partnered with a strong franchisee and development agent with the skills and background to successfully operate and represent our brand."
TT&B began franchising under the Brilliant Sky name in January 2007, and also has a three-store development underway in greater Phoenix, Ariz., the first of which began operating in October 2007. Discussions are underway in several U.S. markets, with additiona deals anticipated this year, according to the company.
