Warner Bros. ups Black

BURBANK, Calif.—Shari Black has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Retail Business Development for Warner Bros. Consumer Products.
In her new position, Black will spearhead Warner Bros. Consumer Products’ retail sales, marketing, promotions and merchandising strategies. She will be responsible for identifying growth opportunities for all key product categories and retailers in order to sustain current business initiatives as well as securing incremental revenue and marketing exposure for Warner Bros. Entertainment brands.
“During her time with the company, Shari has proven to be an integral leader in the area of retail development, as well as an innovator of creative business programs involving non-traditional retail channels providing significant new streams of revenue,” said Karen McTier. WBCP’s executive vice president of domestic licensing and worldwide marketing. “Under Shari’s enterprising and enthusiastic leadership, her team has produced fantastic results, and we are pleased to see her continue to grow and thrive within WBCP.”
Prior to joining WBCP in 2003 as vice president for retail business development, Black held several positions in the retail and advertising industries, including apparel marketing and merchandising manager for Wal-Mart and director of retail business development for Disney Consumer Products.
