NEW YORK—TC Digital Games, the 4Kids Entertainment subsidiary that oversees its Chaotic Trading Card Game online, officially unveiled an expanded online game and website this week. It also announced that the number of Chaotic trading cards registered on the site has topped 25 million.
ChaoticGame.com now features a number of expansions to the site and the Chaotic Pad, the application which allows players to interact and compete against each other in head-to-head matches.
New gameplay features on the site include an Army Builder, which supports 1 Creature vs. 1 Creature, 3 v 3 and 6 v 6 armies, attack animations and sound effects; and a Discard Viewer allowing both players to review all played cards during a game. Additionally, gamers have the opportunity to play Master and Standard/Apprentice Rules matches with cards from the Dawn of Perim OverWorld and UnderWorld Starter Decks, Dawn of Perim Secrets, Zenith of the Hive and Silent Sands Booster sets. A revamped Traffic Light system more accurately predicts how long a player will have to wait to begin a game in the Auto Challenge wait queue, and the Chaotic game engine has also gone through thorough debugging maintenance, elevating the game completion rate to nearly 98 percent.
“We know that players have been patiently and anxiously awaiting these expansions to ChaoticGame.com and we are confident that the improvements and changes we’ve made to the site will greatly enhance the experience of playing Chaotic online,” said Andi Smithers, TC Digital’s director of technical development.
Additionally, system requirements for playing the game online have been made more universal, a move that TC Digital says will allow more gamers the opportunity to experience playing Chaotic online.
In addition to challenging others to matches, visitors to ChaoticGame.com can trade their cards, read the latest news, receive an interactive gameplay tutorial or participate in a variety of Chaotic discussion forums. According to TC Digital, the site has tallied nearly 2 million unique visitors and over the past three months, the site’s average daily matches have tripled.
Separately, TC Digital Games recently launched Chaotic Battledrome Events, a national organized play program with events scheduled at Wizard World Philadelphia, Origins Games Fair, San Diego Comic-Con, Gen Con Indy, Fan Expo Canada and Gen Con Australia.
