NEW YORK—The International Licensing Industry Merchandisers’ Association (LIMA) has expanded its executive team with the addition of two newly created positions.
Martin Brochstein, longtime editor of the The Licensing Letter, will join LIMA as Senior Vice President of Industry Relations & Information on August 18. Jennifer Coleman, currently a consultant to the trade group, will become Senior Vice President of Marketing & New Business Development.
“We have a clear mandate from our board and our membership that LIMA’s mission is to help our industry grow and prosper globally,” said Charles Riotto, LIMA's president. “With these resources and a number of other additions and enhancements we’ll be working on over the next few months, LIMA will be at the epicenter of advocacy and primacy for this ever-evolving industry and its membership.”
Brochstein joins LIMA from publisher EPM Communications, where he had been executive editor of The Licensing Letter since 1996 and EPM's editorial director since 2002. Prior to his work at EPM, he spent five years as senior editor of Television Digest and was founding editor of Consumer Multimedia Report.
Coleman joins the LIMA staff as a full-time employee after a five-year consulting stint for the association. In 2002, Coleman founded GEE! Ventures Inc., a consulting firm that specializes in developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies for emerging brands in the licensing space.
In addition, the association has hired GLA Communications as its public relations agency of record. GLA clients have included the Consumer Electronics Association and the International CES tradeshow.
