WASHINGTON—International Playthings is recalling approximately 10,000 Taggies Strollin' Along Stroller Activity Bars because of a potential choking hazard.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission the shiny material on the elephant's ear on the activity bar can detach, posing a choking hazard to young children. International Playthings has received three reports of the shiny material detaching and children putting it in their mouths. No injuries have been reported.
Taggies Strollin' Along stroller activity bars are multicolored, fabric and plastic activity bars featuring a yellow giraffe, a purple hippo and a blue elephant attached to a 12-inch long elliptical base with straps that attach to a stroller. The Taggies and Earlyears logos are located on woven and satin labels sewn into the seam on the lower left front of the activity bar.
The products were sold at specialty toy stores nationwide and on the Internet from February 2007 through July 2008 for about $23. They were made in China.
Consumers should contact International Playthings for a free replacement toy at (800) 445-8347 or www.intplay.com.
