OAK BROOK, Ill.—RC2 plans to expand its Caring Corners line in 2009 with a goal of turning the assortment into a “premier preschool girls' brand,” the toymaker said today.
RC2 launched the Caring Corners brand in 2008 with its Mrs. Goodbee Interactive Dollhouse (pictured) and related doll and accessory packs, marketed under its Learning Curve brand.
"The Caring Corners line definitely has strong appeal with today's parents," said Peter Henseler, RC2 Corp. president. "All of our research with parents reinforced the importance of having toys that help promote good basic values including caring, sharing and compassion in their children. That is what we set out to deliver at the core of the Caring Corners line."
In 2009, Caring Corners will expand with the introduction of a Talking RV and outdoor themed doll and accessory packs, an assortment designed to “encourage children to care for the environment and share in the beauty and wonder of nature,” according to an RC2 press release. The line extensions are scheduled to reach retailers this fall.
