PACIFIC PALISADES, Calif.—Suppertime Entertainment has inked a deal with the Nordstrom department store chain for an exclusive line of children’s clothes bearing the Planet Color By Todd Parr brand.
The apparel will be available in the Midwest and Northeast regions and is intended for boys/girls, ages 18 months to 6 years old. The collection is from U.S. manufacturer Jen’s ideas, producer of apparel for men, women, and children. It will include T-shirts and thermals for boys and dresses and thermals for girls, as well as embroidered baseball caps in boy, girl and toddler sizes.
The merchandise brand was created and developed by author and artist Todd Parr and marketing partner SupperTime Entertainment to capitalize on the key attributes the author’s known for: “bringing fun, self-confidence and good values to kids, through their appreciation of bold colors and quirky humor.”
“We think Planet Color puts all of Todd’s sensibilities under one banner and will strike a responsive chord in both kids and parents who want more ‘feel good’ and positive messages. Our positioning line: ‘Peace. Love. Color,’ is meant to reflect the brand’s key values,” said SupperTime President Gerry Renert.
Marketing efforts for the launch will draw upon a range of off and online activities, according to SupperTime, including in-store point of purchase display and signage. Parr will also appear at four Nordstrom locations in Chicago to read, draw and autograph his books.
