Sega has netted Olympic gold medalists Venus and Serena Williams for its sequel to Virtua Tennis. The game will hit stores in November and, unlike its predecessor, will feature female players…THQ is publishing independently branded WWF product for different platforms, including WWF Smackdown for PS2, WWF Raw is War for Xbox and WWF With Authority! for the Internet. Why the different games? According to Vice President of Marketing Peter Dille, THQ found an overlap between WWF fans and hardcore gamers. Many of the same fans also own multiple platforms, and THQ wanted to keep the license fresh…Players control the lead character in Nintendo's Kirby Tilt 'n Tumble for Game Boy Color by tilting the hand-held forward, backward and side to side in order to roll Kirby through the levels…For the Game Boy Advance, look for Sega's Sonic the Hedgehog Advanced, Chu Chu Rocket, Puyo Puyo, adaptations of Konami's classic Castlevania and Contra games, Midway's NFL Blitz 2002, Namco's Tekken Advanced and THQ's Power Rangers Time Force …Besides Crash Bandicoot for PS2, Universal Interactive will offer Jurassic Park III and The Mummy Returns games based on the upcoming films…For more coverage, visit the New Products section on playthings.com.
