By Staff -- Playthings, 5/19/2009 9:10:00 AM

Cloud B's Twilight Turtle plushTORRANCE, Calif.—Cloud B will no longer sell to Amazon.com in what the plush toy maker says is an effort to support its independent retail accounts, according to published reports.

“This was a difficult financial decision for us, but now more than ever, it is imperative that we stay true to our business philosophies and continue to support our retail partners that are most affected by these economic times,” said Nader Hamda, Cloud B president and CEO, in a report by Kids Today, a sister publication of Playthings

“As a company, we strongly believe in supporting all our retail partners equally,” Hamda said.

Cloud B's glowing Twilight Turtle plush made the online retailer's top seller list last holiday season.
