A toy industry think tank

A toy industry think tank

In my last blog I suggested that the toy industry put together a think tank that will assist the entire industry in maintaining and growing market share. Here are some thoughts on what a think tank would do.

As its most basic mission, a think tank would conduct analysis and make recommendations to an organization like the TIA or to individual companies. In doing so, it would take a far deeper look into those variables that impact the industry and then, warn the industry of possible problems and alert it to potential opportunities. Not only could a think tank advise the industry, it could also propose policies and be available to the press to provide reasoned analysis and opinion on the topic of the day.

In a future blog, I will write about the types of people who might serve on a toy industry think tank.
