HONG KONG—Corgi International said on April 11 it sold its Cards Inc. division to Britain’s Esdevium Games for an undisclosed sum.

The purchase includes the Cards Inc. brand in addition to its card, sticker, and card-based collectible business. The deal does not include Cards’ pop culture collectibles business done under the Popco brand.

“All of us here at Esdevium are very excited about this purchase and our opportunity to work with a number of new retailers,” the company said in a statement posted on its website. “We're working hard to ensure a smooth transition.”

Esdevium Games is one of Europe’s largest distributors of games of various types to hobby and mass market channels. Its lines include trading card, roleplaying, board and card games from many of the global market's major manufacturers.

Corgi purchased Cards Inc. in October 2006 in a three-way deal that also included the acquisition of Master Replicas.
