Playroom to distro Swingset games

NORTH HOLLYWOOD, Calif.—Playroom Entertainment has been signed to distribute Swingset Press’ tween girl-oriented sleepover games to the specialty toy market.

The relationship beings this fall and includes Swingset’s three new game titles for 2008: Acting Out – The Pajama Party Game for Girls Who Don’t Have Stagefright!, a game in which girls ages 7 to 14 are asked to mimic people; Frendz Pakz: Sleepover Pakz – Pajama Party Games, a collection of pajama party-appropriate games, quizzes and activities for kids ages 8 to 13; and Frendz Pakz: Club Secretz, a card pack that helps girls ages 8 to 13 start and/or find a focus for a secret club.

“We’re very excited to be working with Swingset Press,” said Dan Rowen, president of Playroom Entertainment. “Besides helping us to round out our product line-up, Swingset Press is known for being at the forefront of the tween products curve for over a decade.”

Playroom Entertainment is best known for for its Killer Bunnies and the Quest for the Magic Carrot card game series. Its line also includes European-style strategy board games, family games, card games and dice games sold at specialty toy, game, gift, educational and book retailers nationwide.
