TALKBACK

ABC Kids leaving Las Vegas

By Staff -- Playthings,05/05/2009

LOUISVILLE, Ky.—For the first time since its inception ABC Kids Expo won’t be held in Las Vegas starting in 2011, according to published reports.

The 8-year-old infant and preschool products show will land at Lousville’s Kentucky Exposition Center for its 2011 and 2012 editions, according to Tradeshow News, a publication of Playthings’ parent firm, Reed Business Information.

ABC Kids Expo is managed by All Baby & Child. The company’s Spring Educational Conference is currently taking place in Louisville.

Yes, Kentucky? Come on folks! I'm sure buyers will magically be
enticed to buy more products in the land of hillbillies.

I am not sure Kentucky is the place to be BUT the building space is all on one level which is a problem in Las Vegas. Some of the buyers never knew there was an upstairs to the Convention Center and missed half of the vendors which is very discouraging.

Before I commented, I checked the Round Trip LOW airfares for Sept. 10-15 from various cities on the West Coast ($270 - $315)/and the East Coast ($255-$315)/as well as Chicago ($117) and Dallas ($230/$340). What were they thinking? Clearly,no one was concerned about the buyers. At the very least, Orlando would be the logical next step. Inexpensive and plentiful flights and hotels. Non-Union at the Convention Center so set-up is most economical and NO stairway in the center of the hall!

why of all places kentucky??? why wouldnt you bring it back to Dallas where it all began? Vegas gave us some entertainment in the evenings too.

Whoever thought of this, hopefully ,will make sure we have a fun time as we did in Dallas and Vegas.

I am one unhappy camper!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

p.s. why didn't someone survey us retailers to see if we had any suggestions!!!!
